Among many original gift ideas for this Christmas, the Mercado del Encanto presents handmade ceramic pieces by the artisan ceramist Pilar Serrano.
Pilar fell in love with ceramics 20 years ago thanks to her teacher Esperanza Alonso, who passed on this passion to her. From then on, she went through a long training process, accredited courses at the “Francisco Alcántara” ceramics school, internships in Valladolid, in a ceramics factory and in the workshop of Francisco Gálvez. (Madrid).
She never stops learning new techniques. She had the opportunity to take courses in photoceramic transfers at the Moncloa school, a monographic course in jewelry with Marta Armada and pottery at the Bisbal Ceramics School. She currently teaches classes in an attempt to pass on her knowledge and passion for ceramics.
