From a very young age, Elena Román Velandia has been passionate and concerned about the care of the skin that surrounds her. She always believed that the care we give it, both from the inside and the outside, is reflected in ourselves. In addition, pampering the skin and taking care of it is like a ritual, a moment that she reserves exclusively for enjoying it, which is clearly evident in the skin over the years and the passage of time.
This prompted him to investigate more about active ingredients and their properties, which each of them provided. So he decided to take the step of making this project a reality. He chose to make natural cosmetics in accordance with what he felt, “beyond the skin”, respecting the environment and giving the place that corresponds to skin care, working together with an experienced team with whom he shares the same vision. He travelled to different countries to do research and returned to the University, since they chose his project at the UPNA (Navarra) University and they helped him because they firmly believed in this initiative and in its sustainable development.
And so the brand was born, Velandia which continues to evolve unstoppably, because there is nothing they are more passionate about than the development of formulations and aromas.
All products They are made in Spain from start to finish. They carefully select those active ingredients of plant origin that really provide properties to our skin. They also apply the highest standards of premium quality, creativity and enthusiasm that give rise to the brand's identity, Velandia.
Their formulas contain ingredients offered by the nature of their region, La Rioja, such as plant extracts, flowers, essential oils, vegetables, algae... Drops loaded with natural active ingredients that contribute to hydration and skin regeneration. They grow in ideal conditions in La Rioja, which gives them greater vitality and, above all, the quality of the active ingredients we use.
The most prominent ingredient is grape seed oil from the vineyards of La Rioja, which due to its climate is unique and they use it as the main ingredient in their formulas, along with a multitude of active ingredients and Olive oil from Andalusia, for cold saponified solid soaps, handcrafted with novel active ingredients, but with the formula of their ancestors, handcrafted, without sulphates. Both with a certificate of origin, which include many antioxidant properties, providing many benefits for the skin.
