Suberine It is the result of a mixture of desires: on the one hand, caring for the environment and on the other, enjoying family life.
It all started in the summer of 2017, when Abel and Elvira came across cork several times: first at work and then on a family getaway. This made them realise all the benefits it has and how unknown it is, so they decided to embark on this great adventure.
The materials used in the products are cork or cork and leather. All of them are true works of art, since they are handmade, and no two are alike. The cork is of high quality and is made in Spain and Portugal.
Suberine aims to promote this material, as it is the ecological alternative to leather and other plastic materials. It is incredible what can be done with it. In addition, it is light, environmentally friendly, natural, durable, hypoallergenic, easily washable and has an incredibly soft texture. Add to that that with this work we protect cork oak forests (many cork oaks were being cut down to plant trees with greater economic interest in the short term) and the fauna that lives in them (Iberian lynx, Iberian imperial eagle, ...).
