SOVORAL is a family business made up of 6 siblings, whose childhood was spent in a beautiful place in the south of Ourense, playing among ericas and brooms, chestnuts, oaks and alvarizas, surrounded by that magical Galician environment that awakens so much nostalgia. From their family environment they fostered a passion for nature and learned to love and respect beekeeping.
The Sovoral products They are raw, unfiltered honeys from the High Mountains, extracted and stored in a cold environment in order to preserve all the properties of the natural flowers they forage on. In the heart of the Ourense Central Massif and within the Natural Network 2000, the bees forage among natural and spontaneous flowers, at an altitude of over 1,100m, far from any source of contamination. In this location, the flowers produce less nectar, forcing the bees to introduce it into the hive slowly, resulting in a much denser and more concentrated honey.
Located in Fial das Corzas, the bees live among Ericas, Brooms, Serbales, Quercus, Chestnuts and the spectacular high mountain flowers, helping with their pollination and drinking all the properties of our Galician plants.
Beekeeping, as conceived by SOVORAL, involves sustainable management of apiaries, locating the apiaries in wild areas far from any type of contamination, respecting the rhythm of each swarm, following biodynamic methods and intervening only in cases of extreme necessity.
Respecting this natural balance, bees forage in perfect harmony with the environment, sharing with us their “Nectar of the Gods” with the added value of the benefit that such work brings to nature.
