Papyrus Gems They are jewels and pieces that tell a story. They are designed and lovingly handmade in paper by a Spanish architect and designer, combining the traditional origami technique with a timeless aesthetic.
It all started when its creator, Inés, was finishing her studies as an architect and spent her free time creating personalized origami jewelry for her friends.

She had realized that each person is unique and lives valuable experiences, but that we live surrounded by impersonal objects made without any love. That is why those first pieces were created for the person who was going to wear them, they told a story about that person and connected them to their wearer.

Word of mouth made him receive more and more orders so he decided to create Papyrus Gems, a brand of origami pieces and jewelry that give value to a material as humble as paper thanks to the fact that they tell stories.

The pieces of Papyrus Gems They are handmade in Spain with great care and love, making each one unique and different. We use special high-density papers or Japanese papers, 100% PEFC, and varnished to protect them from water. They are not completely waterproof, so we do not recommend immersing them in water or leaving them in damp places.

The pieces made with Japanese Washi paper are more exclusive as they are part of limited collections with a small number of units produced. The chains are made of 925 ml sterling silver or treated brass. The beach necklaces can also be plated with 0.5 microns of yellow gold or rose gold. The material used for the earrings is 925 ml sterling silver.
