Sanchez & Iglesias elaborations was founded in 2013, with the acquisition of the farm
where the only goose farm in Extremadura is located.
Its geographical location in a privileged environment and with a unique microclimate,
since it is located a short distance from the El Raposo Spa, at an altitude of
600 meters, and a resting area for birds during their migration period, is the
Perfect location to take advantage of the natural cycle and obtain the best product
of these birds.
The breeding of the geese on the property is carried out in complete freedom, without
force-feeding them, which consists of crops from the farm itself,
cereals, acorns and figs.
During the five years since acquiring the farm, they have
carried out a thorough remodeling of the facilities and not a few tests of
handling, in order to obtain a natural product with the highest quality and with a
total respect for the environment. It has been five years of studies and tests
to achieve the pinnacle of a gourmet product.
As a result of the different studies carried out, the first and most fundamental is the
Raising geese in freedom and with a natural diet, which achieves
a tastier meat and a healthy fat, with an extra quality for being in
continuous movement in its natural environment.
The second and no less important, has been the installation of the slaughterhouse in the
own farm, to avoid stress when moving the birds.
The third corresponds to the manufacturing process, which we also carry out in
our facilities, to take advantage of the climate of the area in the different steps
curing and packaging.
All this allows them to offer an exclusive and unique final product, with some
quality standards far superior to those usual in this type of gourmet products.
