On January 3, 4 and 5, the Mercado del Encanto celebrates its edition Special Kings' Day Sales at the Santa Bárbara Palace with more than 30 brands/designers and a gourmet zone with a selection of finger-licking good products.
Among them, we present to you Upside Down Sky. Handmade Argentine empanadas in snack size, the ideal size to try various flavors and eat traditional food.
And our name comes precisely from a beautiful tango that speaks of those places, a small phrase that is heard between bandoneons in the song “Vuelvo al Sur” - immense moon, upside-down sky - and who in the North did not think as a child, at some point, that in the South people were upside-down? ... Soraya Llorente, Co-Founder
Cielo al Revés was born from a Spanish woman and an Argentinian man, travellers who after living in various places around the world and always resorting to empanadas as an appetizer or meal wherever they were, offering them at meetings and dinners with friends from all over and everyone liking them, upon their return to Madrid, decided to offer this to more people, as a rich, easy, quick and good solution.
So they opened in this Northern Hemisphere a particular version of the South.
They have a physical store on Calle de Galileo, 70 where they sell Argentine wines, Italian products, yerba mate, alfajores, organic drinks and cookies, craft beers, hot coffee to go, MEDIALUNAS (freshly made Argentine croissants, alone or filled with dulce de leche! - pure glory-)... and of course, Argentine Empanadas.
Here is more information about the event. We look forward to seeing you there!
