The Christmas season is approaching and the Mercado del Encanto has 3 very special events scheduled.
The first two will be held at the location where we have organised the most editions, on Juan de Austria Street. This is where our adventure organising markets began. They will be held on the 15th and 22nd of December. For the Three Kings' Day edition, we will move again to the Palacio de Santa Bárbara on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of January.
On December 15th in our Christmas edition of Chamberí, we will welcome The corner of Yeclana, a very special brand, which will introduce us to the world of art and dedication of Patchwork.
The word itself says it all: “patch” and “work”. It is the ability to create true works of art by combining different scraps with the idea of creating different shapes.

“Without knowing how, and by chance, I came across the world of Patchwork. Little by little I began to see the beautiful things that come from joining small pieces of fabric that sometimes become true and exclusive works of art. I have to say that I soon began to collect, cut, prepare fabrics and start joining them until I made my first quilt for my daughter. It was a natural thing for me to do these tasks. I had no idea that I was capable of doing them. I began to get to know the world of Patchwork, extensive in techniques and projects, and within these I especially like quilts for babies and the personalization of t-shirts, whether for children or adults. I love using bright and contrasting colors, they encourage me to work with joy and perseverance. On the other hand, pastel colors lengthen my projects and sometimes invite me to take a long break. On one occasion, I was invited to participate in a craft market to show my work, and there I found my space. The material I use is mainly cotton in both fabrics As in t-shirts, that's how I feel most comfortable while working. I haven't felt the need to mix different textures yet.I hope you like my work, which I do with so much love.”

As always, we are committed to craftsmanship and unique objects, and we like Matilde's proposal for its quality and the detail of each of her creations. You can smell the love she puts into each craft.
As a preview of the new events, it's not bad at all, right? Little by little we will introduce you to all our companions in the three Christmas adventures.
As always, whether you are a client or an exhibitor, we leave you our contact information so that you can ask us any questions you may have. In the same way, please send us your details if you want us to send you information about all our events: mercadodelencanto@gmail.com
