But since action speaks louder than words, they did not want to stop at words and have taken action.
In DOLY, they are committed to sustainability with a standard of quality and design in their products that is among the best in the fashion market.
Sustainability is the way to achieve economic balance, taking care of the environment and social well-being, and eco-design is seen as one of the ways to contribute to it.
The starting point was to design environmentally friendly sneakers that did not compromise the future of the planet but with a design
innovative. They have just launched their first line of business that is made from recycled material from plastic bottles.
Each pair of sneakers DOLY recycles up to 22 33cl plastic bottles. The firm bases its processes on recycling and uses a source material that goes through several processes and is modified in its structure until it reaches the shoe. The plastic bottles are collected and through a fascinating process the PET is recycled, from which a recycled thread is obtained to develop the fabric with which it is made. ATLAS AND GEA.
It is also a Madrid brand, which is manufactured entirely in Spain: the shoe is made in Toledo and the PET thread is from a company in Alicante. In manufacturing, they have managed to ensure that all processes are managed efficiently, recording energy consumption and ensuring that the treatments do not disturb the environment in any way.
In DOLY They have taken a step further, moving from the concept of recycling to the concept of creative reuse UPCYCLING. Giving added value to their products with a powerful and very careful design.
The company has set out to promote a circular life cycle for its products. The design has been conceived so that the footwear can be disassembled and the PET parts recovered, re-ground and extruded into recycled thread to make new shoes, thus closing a circle between the raw material and the useful life of the product.
