Hello everyone,
To celebrate the Fashion Revolution movement, from April 23 to 29, we are selling various actions on social media to support sustainable fashion and raise awareness among the population about the true cost of the clothes we wear.
This "celebration" was born in 2014, on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza disaster in Bangladesh. On April 24, 2013, a textile factory in the country collapsed, causing a total of 133 deaths and more than 2,500 injuries. The event served to highlight the harsh working conditions experienced by the workers involved in the accident. At the same time, it served to bring to light the bad practices that many fashion brands and large retailers carry out in developing countries, in order to profit from cheap production.
To support the fashion revolution you just have to revolutionize your networks, take a photo showing the label of any item of clothing in your wardrobe and ask that brand “Who made my clothes”. Put that photo on your wall, tag the brand (never forget to tag the brand, because that way all the volunteers can fill their “photos in which you have been tagged” section with the same question, there is strength in unity. We love the campaign, especially because it fights for optimal working conditions and a cleaner industry by demanding changes to the serious social and environmental problems that the fashion industry is facing.
