In our Autumn Edition at the Santa Bárbara Palace, as on so many other occasions, the Dance Circle accompanies us and teaches us through rhythm Swing with teacher Elizabet, the culture and dance that is so fashionable because of how socially fun it is.
Dance Circle It opened to the public in 1995 and has since taught thousands of people to enjoy dancing. We tell you a little more about the history of this school:
In the early 1980s, couples dancing was reborn in Madrid at the Chaminade College. Classes and events began to be organised, where its founders discovered their passion for dancing.
After a decade of effort and training, teachers and students decided to join forces in a new project. In this way, they became the first ballroom dance group in Madrid.
At the end of 1995, after perfecting the technique, improving their methodology and training hundreds of students, they decided to make their dream come true: they created Dance CircleSince then, they have been adapting to the new times, including new styles and methods, always counting on the best dance professionals, to transmit their essence: Dancing has to be for everyone, no matter how old you are or what level you are at: everyone can dance.… and have a great time while learning.
At Círculo de Baile, in addition to rehearsals, auditions and all kinds of cultural events, they have classes in an infinite number of dance modalities, but all focused on leisure and not on official training. They have Country Dance, Sevillanas, Zumba, Funk, Urban, Commercial, Girls Dance, Ballroom, SBK, Rockabilly Jive, Rock'n'roll, Jazz Only, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Tango, Jazz, Adult Ballet, etc. In the end, it's all about training for happiness.
The school is located at Plaza del Conde del Valle de Suchil, 3 in the Madrid neighbourhood of Chamberí. You can find 4 very large rooms with a laminated floor that is gentle on your joints, an air conditioning system that sometimes works too well, and a well-distributed sound system so that everyone can hear it at a reasonable volume. All this is completed with a large reception area and changing rooms for children and adults.
So we invite you to come and meet them and let yourself be carried away by the rhythm and joy of their dance, the Saturday, October 1st at 12PM, at the Santa Bárbara Palace. Completely free and in a large, open-air space. You'll love it!
