Warp began its journey in 2016 in a small room. A project that was born with enthusiasm and the same commitment put in by generations of the same family.
Some time ago, Olga García's mother, founder and partner of the company, gave her a bunch of boxes whose contents had belonged to her grandmother, who had been an artisan hatmaker.
Trying to sort out the contents of all those boxes, she found a small piece of cloth braided with cotton ribbons. She immediately realized that this small piece of braided ribbons, ready to be used as part of a hat, could very well be turned into another object that would also be useful for today's women, perhaps a handbag or something similar.
And that's how it occurred to him that his grandmother's artisanal business deserved another chance for the future.

The name Warp, refers to the ribbons that are placed vertically with the threads and cotton to begin braiding. And the weft is the ribbons that are placed horizontally to make the corduroy.
Each item of Warp, is designed, made and sewn in Spain with natural and sustainable materials, and with the technique of hand-braiding with cotton ribbons of different sizes and satin ribbons. A laborious artisanal process can take between four and ten hours, depending on the complexity of the braiding, giving meaning to the slow fashion concept.
One of the advantages of these items is that they can be personalized, so customers can choose the color, braiding and accessories.

Warp In 2019, she participated in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, with Norma Ruíz. In 2020, she was awarded the Asturias Diseña prize, in the Accessories Design category, for her project, “Geometry of Color”.
