We are entering March and there is not much time left until spring and our first event of the season: SPRING AT THE PALACE.
So we begin with the presentations of the Brands and Designers who participated in this very special edition.
Today we talk about Monkey wood. Unique jewelry made with natural 100% materials and the latest laser cutting technology.
Monkey Wood was born from a great passion: wood.
Laura Vicioso is an architect specialising in this material, and she loves small and large scale design… And of course fashion! So she got a laser cutting machine (or numerical control) to develop the idea she had in mind: to design and create sustainable accessories using her favourite material, but in a contemporary way. Using the software, she generates designs that the machine reproduces on natural wood… It seems like magic!
Because Monkey Wood Is this a sustainable fashion brand that is committed to the future? Because to create these accessories they use wood, which is completely natural and comes from sustainable forests, as well as natural and ecological enamels that are respectful of the environment and our health. The manufacturing process is as follows: After printing the designs, they sand each piece by hand and give it a BIO resin finish to provide shine, hardness and waterproofing. It is the same resin that is used to protect surfboards!
Using natural materials is not only good for the environment but also essential for our health. Let's not forget that their products include 100% custom packaging that is recyclable and plastic-free. They use the necessary resources, no more, no less.
We hope you enjoy their work, being able to be on the cutting edge with the best design without neglecting ecological awareness.

We are waiting for you!

Thank you so much for spreading the word about MonkeyWood! I can't wait to meet you and attend such a special Market 💚
We saw this girl at her stand at Molly Market (in December) at a craft fair that took place at the College of Architects in Madrid and she has very pretty and very simple – elegant things. All this together with the whole story of sustainability that she told us led us to buy a couple of things for my wife. Then my wife’s friends asked about this artisan and we told them that she has a shop on the ETSY marketplace and there they saw her catalogue and bought several things from her because they are very modern, simple and elegant. Very much in line with today’s new sustainable contemporary crafts. Congratulations Laura for your proposal, my wife is very happy with the ring and earrings that she bought from you. You deserve success for the thoroughness and rigour that you put into your project. We will buy from you again…
Juan
By the way, we will look for you at EL MERCADO DEL ENCANTO because we have heard very good things about this project. !!
I love the design and the finishes (You can see her architectural background). Her commitment to the environment and ecological products. Good luck in the new market of charm.
